Ghost of Tsushima is able to hit the same heights as the best Assassin’s Creed games by giving the player an interesting set of tools to approach conflicts with in any way they see fit. But Ghost of Tsushima feels like an evolution for that same type of game. It’s clear, even from Sucker Punch’s canceled Prophet demo, that the team was taking a lot of influence from Ubisoft’s beloved series. The balance of open-world exploration, floaty action combat, and stealth is almost identical. You can feel how many different games have influenced Ghost of Tsushima, with the strongest connection being to the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Each entry feels unique, some of them are rather good, and yet I’ve never been wowed by an Assassin’s Creed game.įor the longest time, an Assassin's Creed game set in feudal Japan felt like an obvious, great fit for the franchise, but after playing Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima, I don't really want it to happen anymore. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate does thanks to its well-realized world. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey never really clicks because of the overly intense RPG elements.

That’s everything you need to know about Ghost of Tsushima’s PC port release with Requirements speculation. So there is a high probability the Ghost of Tsushima PC port will be pushed ahead to Q4 2023 or Q1 2024. And as Sony will not risk releasing both of the releases of their main games together (GoT & LoU), The Last of Us Part I will be given more priority anticipating more players coming from watching than the new television series. Here are the currently planned upcoming movies based on PS games:Īs we mentioned in the above table, The Last of Us Part I is in development for PC and it’s releasing on March 3, 2023. So releasing the Ghost of Tsushima PC port is Sony’s best plan of action to introduce the world of Jin Sakai to new players. That’s almost thrice the number of players. This is apart from the player base on PS5, who either bought or played the games on PS Now. But compared to 10 million copies of Ghost of Tsushima sold, Last of Us has 7 million on PS3, 10 million on PS4, and The Last of Us Part II has 10 million on PS4. The Last of Us television series’ first season will debut in 2023. So they will not take the same risk with the Ghost of Tsushima film. The film was not well received by the PS fans. They missed this opportunity with the Uncharted (2022) film, as the Legacy of Thieves Collection got delayed. Sony will try to make Ghost of Tsushima more famous by bringing it to PC players. Sony has announced that they will be making a film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima with director Chad Stahelski, known for the John Wick film series. And some of the original PS-only games took anywhere from 3-4 years to make it to PC. The Release Pattern of Previous Sony Games on WindowsĪs once stated by the head of Sony, best-selling PS titles are on their way to PC. So Sony will keep the game exclusive to lure more players to their devices over the competition with this title.

With the release of Playstion Plus to take on the Xbox’s Game Pass service, Ghost of Tsushima is now an integral part of that service. It also matters where their friends are currently playing, but play players choose the PS consoles for their exclusive games. If the success of PlayStation consoles over Xbox has taught us something over the years, the features and games affect the player’s choice of device.
